Dublin team named to face Monaghan

Dublin has announced their team which will play Monaghan in the semi-final of the BGE Ladies NFL on Sunday in the Gaelic Grounds, Drogheda.   Monaghan will go into Sundays' semi-final wearing the favourites tag after defeating Dublin earlier this year in round six of the league.  Sharon Courtney's injury time fisted point being the difference between the two sides the last time they meet.   Monaghan's hard fought win over the Dubs has given the Farney girls a slight edge..

Dublin U-14s played Meath in a top of the table clash last Saturday in Boardsmill. The old cliche that it was a game of two halves was certainly applied to this match.It was all one way traffic towards Dublin's goals with a very impressive Meath team leading by 1-8 to a single point. Dublin had a comprehensive win over Wicklow in the 3rd round of the Leinster U-14 championship with a winning score of 6-11 to 1-10.A number of girls were absent from the previous week's starting 15 due to illness/injury. However by half time the game was beyond Wicklow's reach thanks to th scoring power of Megan Foley, Hannah O'Neill, Niamh Prior and Laura McGinley.
