Last Saturday, on a perfect day for football nearly 900 mothers, sisters and daughters came out in force to sunny Portmarnock to take part in the National Gaelic4Mothers Blitz Day. It was with great pride that the student teachers and staff of Coláiste Mhuire, Marino Institute of Education welcomed the Brendan Martin Cup and Dublin goalkeeper Clíodhna O Connor to the College on Monday 11th October. The occasion was particularly relevant to the college as one of their second year students, Niamh Mc Evoy, lined out for the Girls in Blue during the All-Ireland final. Kilmacud Crokes Ladies Football held its 7th Annual All Ireland Ladies Under 14’s Seven A Side Competition on Saturday 25th September 2010, a cold but thankfully dry day for the 78 matches that were played.
