Ballymahon to host Senior Club Final..

  • Nov 14,2011

The venue for the Senior Club All Ireland final between Dublin champions Na Fianna and Mayo champions Carnacon has been revealed as Ballymahon GAA club in County Longford with a 2pm throw in time on Sunday the 27th of November.

Deferred coverage of the game will be shown on TG4.

Carnacon come into the 2011 final with an impressive record in this competition having won the title on three previous occasions 2002, 2007 and 2008, in total Carnacon have appeared in the Senior club final five times having lost out to Donaghmoyne of Monaghan in 2006 and to Inch Rovers of Cork in last year’s decider.

In contrast Na Fianna will be competing in their first club final but the Glasnevin crew have had an impressive campaign this season both in Dublin and Leinster. Plus their excellent semi-final victory over the 2003 All Ireland champions Donoughmore of Cork will without question give the Glasnevin girls a timely boost going into the final against the Mayo champions.
