Syls and Na Fianna do the Double in Leinster!

Leinster Champions:
Congratulations to St Sylvester’s and Na Fianna who were crowned Junior and Senior Leinster champions yesterday following their respective wins over St Laurences of Kildare and Mountmellick Sarsfields of Laois. Both clubs will now contest the club All Ireland semi-finals on the weekend of the 5/6th of November.

St Sylvester’s will travel to Tipperary to take on Munster Junior champions, Aherlow while Na Fianna will welcome Munster champions and former All Ireland champions Donoughmore of Cork to Mobhi Road.

October County Board meeting:
The October County Board meeting will take place on Tuesday the 25th of October @ 7:30pm sharp in Parnell Park. The Agenda has been circulated to all clubs by Eugene Egan (County Secretary).

Return of Trophies:
Once again the County Board are appealing to clubs to return cups, shields, trophies received last season and indeed in previous seasons to the office or at the October County Board meeting.

Juvenile Championship /Shield venues:
Our Juvenile Championship /Shield finals are pencilled in for the weekend of the 5/6th of November any club who are willing to host a final/s are requested to contact the office or Mary O’Connor (Fixtures Secretary).

Annual Convention:
The Annual Convention of Dublin LGFA will take place on Saturday the 19th of November @ 11am in Parnell Park. Official papers have been issued to all clubs the deadline for the return of nominations, recommendations and or motions is 5pm on Friday the 4th of November.

Golden Boot:
Congratulations to Dublin and St Sylvester’s star Sinead Aherne on winning the Sunday Independent / PUMA Golden Boot award.
