Irish Guide Dogs Family Walk Day with the Dubs!

  • Oct 06,2011

Irish Guide Dogs are the official charity of the Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football Association and we are inviting all Dublin Ladies clubs / teams to come along and support the Guide Dogs Family Dog Walk on Saturday the 8th of October.

Walks are taking place Country wide with well-known celebrities such as Hector and Roy Keane taking part. In Dublin the Bushy Park walk will be lead by Clive and Murray who were our mascots for the NFL final versus Meath while Hector will start the walk in St Annes Park while members of the Dublin ladies team will be attendance at both venues.

The walks in Bushy Park and St Annes Park will commence at 3pm!

The meeting points for St. Annes Park is the park entrance to Sybill Hill, road beside St. Pauls School. Co-ordinator will be in wearing yellow high viz jacketing while the Bushy Park meeting point is opposite Terenure College.

Dublin LGFA are encouraging clubs to sell the official guide dogs high viz wrist bands (€5 for a pack of 2) to their players and members in order to raise much needed funds for this great charity. There is no onus on clubs to sell the bands but we would be grateful for all support either big or small.

Wrist bands and promotional posters can be collected from the Dublin LGFA office in Le Chéile, Donnycarney Community Centre this week from 9am to 5pm. (closed for Lunch 1-2pm).
