Inter County News:
Congratulations to the senior team on their 3-9 to 2-06 win over Galway in the TG4 senior championship last Saturday Dublin will now play Cork in the All-Ireland quarter final on Saturday the 20th of August @ 6pm in Birr. This is a crunch game whereby your support could play a vital role in the outcome we are therefore appealing to all clubs, players and supporters to make the trip to Birr and give your full support to the girls in Blue!

Senior B team had an excellent 2-15 to 1-04 win over Meath in the Aisling McGing championship next up for the Dubs is a home game on Monday the 15th of August versus Galway @ 8.30pm in St Margaret’s GAA club.

Best wishes to the  Dublin U16 team who play Galway Sunday week in the All-Ireland semi-final at 3pm in Ballymahon Co Longford Dublin are reigning U16 All Ireland champions and it would be great achievement if we could reach back to back finals, best of luck Girls!

Fund Raising Events:
A big thank you to everyone who supported the Dublin U16 team  “Duck Race” which took place last Saturday, winners were  1st Eoin McGuigan, 2nd Cathal Keirns, 3rd Conner Lambe, 4th Ciaran Smith and 5th Tina Adams.
Meanwhile the Dublin minor team are going to the Dogs this coming Monday  racing starts at 8pm in Harold’s Cross tickets cost just €10 and can be bought on the night or in advance from Fintan O’Curry he can be contacted on 0868656660

Registrations:
A reminder that the juvenile season is due to recommence shortly clubs should have all players registered prior to the commencement of competitions. The registration forms have been circulated to all clubs forms should be emailed for the attention of Aislinn Harkin dublinladiesreg@gmail.com please note registrations will only be processed on receipt of fees and please allow at least five working days for registrations to be processed.

New Referees:
Over 30 new referees have completed the latest Grab Your Whistle course we now need to acquire some “match practise” for them therefore if any team / club are holding juvenile friendlies, blitzes etc., over the coming weeks and are looking for officials please contact Paul McLoughlin on 086-2503844 and he will appoint our new recruits this game time will be a useful training mechanism in their referee development.

Glasgow Tournament:
Tir Conaill Harps GAC are looking for female Gaelic football teams to attend their annual festival in Glasgow-always a great weekend. The Celtic festival this year will take place over the weekend of 30 September - 2 October 2011. The program of events is still to be finalised but will include a ladies Gaelic football tournament which will be on the Saturday. This will be 7 a side with 3 subs. There will be a hooley on the Saturday night -further details to follow so if your club are interested in competing to get in touch asap for further details email tirconaillharps@aol.com   

Dublin Club Selection v Amsterdam RFC:
A charity match between a Dublin club selection versus Amsterdam Ladies rugby club will take place this coming Friday in St David’s Schools Artane @ 7.30pm. A bucket collection will take place at the venue in aid of the Irish Guide Dog Association. Andrew McAllister will be the man in charge of this novel fixture. The Dublin LGFA would like to thank Parnells GAA club for hosting the event.

Development Info:
A number of coaching courses will take place over the coming weeks; level 1 coaching course will take place on Saturday the 27th of August in Lucan Sarsfields and Kilmacud Crokes GAA clubs while a Fundamentals course will take place on the 3rd of September in Parnells GAA Club. August County Board meeting:
The County Committee meeting will take place on Tuesday the 16th of August @ 7.30pm in Parnell Park all clubs are requested to have at least one delegate in attendance at the meeting. The draw for the juvenile championship will take place at this meeting all requests in relation to juvenile championship gradings have now been received by the Fixtures Committee no submissions will be accepted on the night the finalised gradings will be circulated to all clubs in advance of the meeting on the 16th.
