Heartbreak by the Lee for the Dubs!

In an astonishing turn of events both Kilmacud Crokes and St Jude’s have failed to reach the semi-finals of their respective divisions in Féile Peile na nÓg with both clubs being eliminated on score difference ironically both Kilmacud Crokes and St Jude’s exit the competition unbeaten.

Kilmacud Crokes who had beaten Cork sides Mallow and Liscarroll drew with the Galway champions on a score line of 1-05 to 2-02 but the Claregalway score difference of +26 over Kilmacud Crokes meant that the reigning championship progressed onto the semi-final where they will play the winner of Group B, The Banner from Clare.

St Jude’s story is similar to that of the Stillorgan crew they accounted for Cork’s Erins Own and Inch Rovers but drew with Tyrone Champions Errigal Chiarain the final group game the score board reading 2-01 to 1-04.

Once more Errigal Chiarain’s greater score difference insured they that moved onto the knock out stages and set up a semi-final appearance against Boherbue of Cork.

Our commiserations go to both Kilmacud Crokes and St Jude’s who both were exceptional and represented the Capital with great pride!
