FUNdamentals is a success in Dublin!

90 Club mentors successfully participated and completed a FUNdamentals coaching course which was held over three locations in Dublin last Saturday, courses were held in Lucan Sarsfields, Clontarf and Kilmacud Crokes.
All courses were booked to capacity which is a marvellous accomplishment for Dublin Development Officer, Camillus Kilpatrick
Ex Dublin Chairperson Camillus took on the role of Dublin Development Officer following the end of his very successful three year tenure in the top job last November. Camillus has taken to his new role with aplomb and is enthusiastically bringing the development of Dublin Ladies Gaelic football to a new level.
To date Camillus has organised five FUNdamental coaching courses in Dublin subsequently 143 club mentors have now taken their first steps on the pathway of their coaching career. Two more courses are on the cards for later this year.
Camillus has also has organised a level 1 coaching course which was the first in the Country since 2009 whereby 15 club mentors have been tutored and educated in the next stage of their club coaching development.
Additional courses that were organised this year:; Club and County mentor workshops, Key 2 Coaching whilst a Goal Keeper workshop is pencilled in for the end of the summer.
The Dublin LGFA recognises the importance of a quality coaching structure and how education of our mentors and indeed players is a key factor to the future growth and evolution of Ladies Gaelic football in the Capital.
Dublin LGFA is keen to use every coaching module available to Dublin and via Camillus is working hard in conjunction with the Games Development department in Croke Park to enhance our game at grass root level and subsequently onto into Inter County.
