Dubs set up date with Rebels!
- May 30,2011
Dublin booked their place in the 2011 All Ireland U14 final with a hard fought win over reigining All Ireland champions Galway yesterday in St Lomans GAA, Mullingar.
Its an old cliche "goals wins games" and this was to be the deciding factor yesterday as Dublin rattled the Galway net on six occassions.
Dublin had the advantage of a strong wind behind them in the first half and led at the interval 4-03 to 1-05. Galway throw the "kitchen sink" at Dublin in the second half but the young Dubs dug deep and defended their goal line tightly to secure this vital win. The final score was Dublin 6-6 and Galway was 2-9.
Dublin will play Munster champions Cork in the All Ireland final on the 11/12th of June, Cork had a comprehensive victory over Armagh in their semi final.
