TESCO Dublin Club Championship updated:

The TESCO Dublin club championship is coming to the conclusion of the round robin stage and the semi-final pairings are beginning to be revealed at senior, intermediate and junior level.

The TESCO senior championship commenced on the 11th of May with seven teams battling it out for the coveted title of Dublin champions. Following last night’s third round of games the semi-final pairings are now known. Ballyboden St Endas will welcome last year’s Intermediate champions Clan Na Gael Fontenoy to Pairc Ui Murchu on the 6th of July while Foxrock Cabinteely will play host to Na Fianna on the same date.

The TESCO Intermediate championship is not so clear cut with a number of rounds still to be played. In group 1 Garda back from their recent Royal and Presidential duties have three games to play, first up will be an away tie to Raheny followed by two home games against Kilmacud Crokes and Parnells respectively. Parnells also have a home tie versus Ballinteer St Johns and this will complete the round fixtures in this hotly contested group. Kilmacud are currently on top of this group having secured wins over Raheny, Ballinteer St Johns and last year’s runners up Parnells.

Group 2 has just one remaining game with Clontarf welcoming Round Tower, Clondalkin to the Northside on the 1st of June, the result of this tie will determine who tops group 2 as both sides are level on six points apiece with two wins out of two.

The TESCO Junior championship has eleven teams competing and therefore have a slightly different format, the winner of Group 1 St Marks have qualified for the semi-final as have St Sylvester’s who topped Group 2 while the winner of Group 3 will be determined by the result of the matches on the 1st of June between Ballyboden St Endas B v Croi Ro Naofa and St Peregrines v St Maurs, Maurs currently top this group.

So just to clarify the junior championship the winner of each group qualify for the semi-final while the runners up in group 2 and 3 will play off for the last semi-final placing.
Once all four semi-finalists are known a draw will take place to see who plays who in the last four.
