The Inter County scene is starting to hot up with four out of five Dublin teams in action over the next few weeks.

First up is the Dublin U16 team who take on Laois this coming Saturday the 30th of April @ 1pm in St Laurence OTooles GAA club (Blunden Drive, Ayrfield). This is the U16s last round robin game in the Leinster championship the team have been quietly going about their business having clocked up a 2-12 to 2-05 win over Meath followed up by a 4-13 to 2-04 win over Wexford. Laois had a four point win over Wexford but suffered a nine point defeat at the hand of the Royals.

The semi-finals for the U16 championship are pencilled in the 21/22 of May with the final a month later on the 18/19 of June.

Saturday the 7th of May is the date of the Bord Gáis Energy NFL Div 2 final Dublin v Meath with a throw in time of 3.30pm. Dublin who has already beaten Meath en route to the final will be expecting another tough and torrid game as Meath seem to have found their form at the right time. The Royal County defeated a strong Kerry outfit by a goal in the semi-final and their confidence will be high coming into the final versus the blues.

The final is taking place in Parnell Park “the home of the Dubs” Dublin supporters will have a major role to play and the Dublin County Board officials are urging fans to come out in numbers to roar the girls on. Dublin last won this title back in 2007 with a victory over Wexford.

Sunday 8th of May is Leinster final day for the Dublin U14 team. This final versus Kildare has been fixed for St Laurences GAA Club, Kildare with a 3.15pm it will be preceded by the shield final Wexford v Laois @ 1.30pm. The Dubs come into the final on the back of an unbeaten run having secured victories over Kildare, Wexford and Laois respectively.

Dublin is the reigning Leinster champions and they narrowly lost out on winning the All-Ireland title in 2010 to a strong Galway outfit. Having beaten Kildare already in this Championship Dublin will go into the final wearing the favourites tag!

The Minor team have qualified for the Leinster final following their 4-21 to 1-10 victory over Westmeath last weekend and will also look forward to a meeting with Meath. This game is fixed for the 14th of May with the venue and time to be confirmed.
