Dublin U14 v Wexford 2011 Leinster Championship

The Dublin U14s had a comprehensive win over Wexford in their second round game in the Leinster Championship.
Goalsby Holly Greer, Emma Byrne and Emma Boyle on the 10th, 20th and 25th minute in the first half ensured that this game was over as a contest byhalf time. Sinead Ryan was wexford sole scorer in the first half when she converted a 21 metre free expertly. The half time score Dublin 4-05 Wexford 0-01.
The second half was used by both sets of management to us their bench with Kate murray and Katie Nyhan using the opportunity to both score excellent long range points.
The game ended with a superb goal from Wexfordscentre forward Rebecca Foley who chased down a lobbed ball and with conviction blasted her shot passed sub Dublin keeper Beth OReilly.
The final score Dublin 4-14 Wexford 1-01.
Anumber of Dublin players where impressive, captain Emma Colgan excelledat right half back as did Amy Conroy at centre forward whose industrious play often resulted in a score by a team mate as this unselfish player layed off numerous ball to team mates in better position. Another player who had to be proud of her performance was lefthalf forward Megan Morrissey.
