The Dublin Ladies County Board are delighted to confirm that their opening tie in the Bord Gáis Energy NFL versus Armagh will be played in the “home of the Dubs” Parnell Park.

The game will be played on Sunday the 6th of February with a 2pm throw in time.

Dublin, All Ireland Champions find themselves in the unique position of playing in the second grade following a tight and fiercely fought league campaign last year.

Indeed the metropolitans were moments away from qualifying for the league semi-finals when Mary Kirwan of Laois strike home a last gasp goal which sent the Dub’s crashing in to division 2.

Dublin is hoping that the tremendous level of support exhibited by Dublin supporters before and after their All Ireland win will continue with them into the league.

Dublin Chairperson Maureen King states “there is a huge bonus to play our NFL games in Parnell Park. Parnell Park is of course the home of the Dubs, people can easily access the ground by most modes of transport and hopefully the attractive admission rates along with the added bonus of seeing the All-Ireland champions in action will encourage Dubs to come out in large numbers to support the girls in blue”.

She continued “coming to Parnell Park on a Sunday is a great way to spend the afternoon especially young families and the more young people we can attract to our game the better “.

Dublin’s other home ties are on the 19th of February v Waterford, 13th of March v Meath and the 27th of March v Sligo.

Admission fees for all Dublin NFL games are: Adults €8, students and OAP’s €4, under 14’s FREE, Family 2 adults/2 Children €10, one adult free with a group of ten U14’s.
