Gaelic4Mothers:
Gaelic4Mothers is a national initiative started by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association in 2008. It is aimed at women who have not played Gaelic football in a long time or may never have played before. (Participants do not have to be actual mothers to be eligible but they do have to be over 18).

The central aim of the program is to provide women with the opportunity to be physically active within a non-competitive environment in the Ladies Gaelic Football Association. Gaelic4Mothers also provides women with the chance to interact with and get to know other women from the locality. The program also serves to create a fun and social dimension to any existing Ladies Football section in a club.

Any club interested in starting up this great programme can contact Cliodhna O’Connor 01-8363156 or email cliodhnaoconnor@ladiesgaelic.ie for more info

Dublin Senior Team Players Fund:
As we know last year was a ground breaking year for the Dublin Ladies as they won the first ever senior All Ireland title. After years of near misses and disappointments the Dub’s finally captured Brendan Martin.

In order to commemorate their achievement in 2010 the Dublin Ladies Senior Team have commissioned a limited edition print that captures some of the highlights of the 26th September 2010 and their convincing win over Tyrone. Moving away from a framed team photo, the print captures some key moments of the All-Ireland final, records the score on the day and displays the names of all those involved in the Dublin Ladies Team in 2010.

The limited edition print will be available to buy from members of the Dublin Ladies Panel or from the Dublin Ladies County Board office for €150, with all funds raised going to the Dublin Senior Ladies Players Fund for 2011.

The  County Board are encouraging all clubs and dublin fans to support the senior team in their fundraising efforts for the coming year and their efforts to defend their hard earned title. For more information contact info@dublinladiesgaelic.ie
