Mary Nevin " appeals to Dublin fans for support"..

Mary Nevin speaks to Pearse Corcoran ahead of Sundays final:

How are you and the girls feeling about the game on Sunday?

This game has been something that we have been working towards for 12 months, after the last All Ireland we looked at it that we would be getting 12 more months to work on everything that we believed in doing, we worked harder and better to get back to the All Ireland final, were here now and were going to do our best on the day and see how we get on. The girls are anticipating this game and are very excited on what they have to do on Sunday, we have been branded as favourites for this game but that is something we don’t understand, the Tyrone team have performed fantastically well this year and they will go in with as much chance as us.

Does the pressure of this possibly being Dublin’s First All Ireland have any bearing on the game?

It can have an effect on you like no doubt it will be a battle but we have built on what we believe in and last winter we sat down and talked about what we wanted to achieve so in that way like I have said it’s 12 more months of what we work on.

How important is it for the team to have the support of the Dublin fans going into Sunday?

There is no doubt that when we go into this battle that the 16th man in the crowd will drive you on, that in the last 15 minutes when your legs feel stiff hearing the crowd roar you on and tell you “that you can get that ball” it gives you more energy, the fact of the matter is that this team is the only team left that can win an All Ireland and that is something all Dublin fans should come out support, I appeal to all Dublin fans is to come and see a game filled with tenacity and passion and that if you are hoping for a good game you really won’t be disappointed.
