  • Sep 17,2010

With just 10 days to go to this years Senior All Ireland final between Dublin and Tyrone preparations are well under way both on and off the field.

Dublin held their media night yesterday evening in their new "home" of Le Cheile,Community Centre in Donnycarney.

In his address Dublin Chairperson Camillus Kilpatrick said "The continued support and promotion of our sport via the various forms of media plays a vital role as we endevour to ensure that the Dublin fans make the trip to Croke Park to cheer the girls on in what should be a closely fought match. The media spotlight which is currently on the final also increases the profile of our sport within the County thus giving more young girls the opportunity to take up the game and in these  times of doom and despair and increased concerns of the health of our youth, sport has an important role to play in these youngsters lives"

Dublin would like to thank all the media who attend last night for what was a very successful evening and we look forward to reading and hearing their various reports in the days leading up to the final.

Well done to the Dublin players who attended, Denise Masterson, Cliodhna O Connor, Siobhan McGrath, Avril Cluxton, Mary Nevin, Noelle Comyn and Sinead Aherne along with their manager Gerry McGill, all are great ambassadors for their County and clubs!
