Weekly Notes - Sunday 11th July 2010

  • Jul 19,2010
Club Admin please note:....

  • St Marks advise that their Adult Team manager is GARY RYAN who can be contacted at 086 3171695. This updates the list circulated so please amend your [and your Mentors] copies, thanks.

  • Westward House [Head Office of Cumann Peil Gael na mBan] advise that some claimants to the Injury Fund expect that their VHISwiftcare accounts will be settled in full. This IS NOT the case. The CPG na mBan Injury Fund will only reimburse the amount if the player had attended an A+E Dept - currently €100. An money paid by the player in excess of this is between the player and the VHISwiftcare clinic. Please advise all your players.

  • Occasionally, the Postman delivers A4 size envelopes with 55c stamps on them. Last year one such envelope was delayed by the Post Office for about 4 months. The correct postage fee for A4 is 95c. A4 is the aprox size of an unfolded sheet of regular printer paper [or the Injury Fund Form unfolded]. 55c will cover the A5 size envelope [A4 folded in half]

Next weekend is a busy one in Dublins calendar. 90 Jackies will travel out of the County..............

  • The Under 16s play in the Leinster Final against Laois. Saturday 17th is set for the match and we are still waiting for the details of venue, etc and the information will be posted on the website when available.

  • The Aisling McGing tournament starts on Sunday next 18th July. We are away to Cork with a throw-in scheduled for 2pm in Fermoy. More details on the www in due course

  • The Seniors take on Laois in Dr Cullen Park, Carlow at 3pm next Sunday.

............. so to Fintan, Angie & Gerry and their players, good luck and best wishes. All Support, whether in Cork, Carlow or wherever will be welcome!

................ and finally

  • Well done to Ballyboden St Endas under 13A team which saw off the challenge of 15 teams from around the country in Austin Stacks GAA, Tralee last weekend and brought home the Lee Strand Tournament Cup.

  • St Sylvesters GAA club were well represented at the 2010 Dublin Community Games Finals held in Santry Stadium on last weekend as the Malahide team had one of its most successful years ever. As the tired athletes adjourned to the clubhouse on Sunday evening they could be proud of the fact that their efforts had helped Malahide to achieve 3rd place in Dublin in the overall award. 50 parishes competed. Well done!

  • On the Culture front, many of the Cuala Juveniles competed in the Leinster Fleadh in Dunleer this weekend having come out of the Dublin round. When the Adjudicator said that the winners of the Leinster U15s were Craobh Phiarais Uí Ghreagáin and were streets ahead of the opposition, the sights are firmly set on the All Ireland. Well done. We are looking forward to a Scór entry from Cuala next season!
