Gaelic4Mothers arrives in Dublin 15

  • Jan 07,2011

Mums the word in Tyrrelstown Gaelic Football club, as officials are trying to turn everyday into Mothers Day. A bright new initiative, Gaelic4Mothers, is proving quite a hit.

Already, it has made a big impact throughout the country and the potential is there to rival any social sport. The idea is to keep mothers involved in playing Ladies Gaelic Football and sometimes getting time away from a busy household is not that easy. The aim is to provide mothers an opportunity to play the sport in a fun, non-competitive, social environment and allow them to lace up their boots, get them out from under the stairs or buy a brand new pair! Mothers often just drop kids off and then call back to collect them but Gaelic4Mothers gives them an opportunity to stay fit and keep fit in a fun way while meeting other mothers and women from the area.

Tyrrelstown are the newest club to get involved in this initiative just in time to blow of the January blues, they are beginning this venture 5th February 2011 Saturday morning 10am to 11am Belgree pitch, Tyrrelstown, Dublin 15 all women in the area are welcome to come along and give it a go. It is held in a very relaxed atmosphere while the kids are training so can you. The main theme of the training is always enjoyment and creating a new social element for mothers in the community.
