Continuing their unbeaten record, the Dublin U14 girls beat a strong Meath side in the Leinster Final in Johnstownbridge on Friday May 29th. It was  a beautiful sunny evening and the venue supplied an immaculate pitch and excellent facilities.

After a nervous start by both teams, the Dublin girls settled first and clocked up some fine scores on the board. Both forwards and mid-fields were active, the half time score read Dublin 3 - 1 to Meaths 0 - 1. After the interval Dublin turned on the style with their forwards and mid-fields combining effortlessly to score three fantastic goals one after the other. Huge credit goes to the girls from Meath who never stopped attacking. Dublins backs were outstanding with their goalie pulling off some great saves. Their full back was superb, earning her the "Player of the Final" trophy at the end of the match. The final score was Dublin 7 - 5 to Meath 0 - 5. Dublin now go on to face Cork in the All Ireland Semi-final in two weeks time.
