CUALA Girls Juvenile Awards Marks a Magnificent Year

Last Sunday saw the CUALA Girls Juvenile first ever Awards Night. Cualas Juvenile Girls have taken the reins for both Ladies Football and Camogie. Over 150 guests, including representatives of all the CUALA Games Committees, attended the ceremonies to mark the awarding of honours to a remarkable bunch of young ladies .

All the Cuala "big guns" were on hand to mark the successful completion of the Sections first year in operation. Cuala Academys Colin Behan presented the 2000s with Certificates to mark their graduation into juvenile football and camogie. Eugene Egan was on hand to pass on Division 2 South football winners medals to the U10s and Division 2 Shield Runners Up medals to the U12s. Individual Football awards were presented by Cualas latest All Ireland hero - Michael Fitzsimons. The guest of honour for the camogie awards was recently retired Ardstiúrthóir of Cumann Camogíochta na nGael, Sile Wallace.  Another good year at the office.

The night ended, appropriately, with a special presentation from the Girls Juvenile Committee to Sile Wallace to acknowledge her remarkable service to Cumann Camogíochta na nGael over 25 years.
