2008 was a very successful year for Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football. Our aim for 2009 is to be even more successful. Last year 57 clubs were affiliated with 231 teams competing in all competitions.
The registration figures had increased from 4,400 to 5,175. New members are always welcome and can locate the club nearest them with all the relevant contact details from the website. 8 clubs have started the Gaelic for Mothers programme and others are likely to follow in 2009. Details of this can be found in the archive section of the website.
Dublin minors won the All-Ireland title for the first time in 2008. With a view to defending that title minor trials will take place in Naomh Mearnóg on Friday 23rd January at 6.45pm and again on Sunday 25th . The time and venue for the latter has yet to be confirmed. Clubs are asked to send along players of the appropriate standard. Further details on the website.
The January County Board meeting will take place on Tuesday of this week at 7.30pm in Parnell Park. A reminder that motions for Congress must be with Head Office in Croke Park before Monday 2nd February.
A Presentation Mentors Workshop will take place in Croke Park at 7.30pm on Tuesday 10th February. All Managers and members of Management Teams only, will be in attendance. A list of the Management teams is on the website. The Senior B, Minor and u16 Management Teams await ratification at this week
A First FUNdamentals course will take place in Fingallians on Saturday 7th February with a second in Kilmacud Crokes on Saturday 28th. Level 1 courses will be provided on the 14th March and 25th April. Candidates must have completed the First FUNdamentals course before being allowed progress to the Level 1 course. Important Dates : - February 9th is the deadline for Club and Team Affiliations with the County Secretary. See the website for further details. This is also the deadline for correspondence to the County Secretary pertaining to the February County Board meeting which takes place on the 17th of the month.

The National League fixtures get under way in February and Dublin face two away games. The following are the fixtures for February.
1st February - Monaghan(h) v Dublin, 2pm
15th February - Dublin(h) v Kildare, 2pm.
22nd February - Galway(h) v Dublin, 2pm.
