RE: Dublin Development Proposal
A Chara,
I am writing to you with regards to a proposal being put forward by the Dublin County board for this years’ Annual General Meeting (AGM) regarding changes to juvenile structures and also restructuring of the academies and development squads. The attached proposal provides information on these changes and , with your club’s support, how Ladies Gaelic Football in the county will benefit.
We are fully aware that these are big decisions for your club to debate and we would appreciate if you could organise a club meeting before the Dublin AGM and allow all members of your club the opportunity to have a say on changing these structures. I would encourage that you think of the benefit that these proposals will bring to all girls in your club and provide these players the opportunity to develop at their own rate. Every club in the county would see the benefit of these proposals and I would hope that your club can give these even one year to prove how beneficial they can be. Currently in Dublin we are gaining new players on an annual basis but we are also losing many more. Please see table in the appendices. Structures need to change to ensure that we can hold on to as many of these players as possible.
I would appreciate if you could take the time to organise your club meeting to discuss these proposals and if you have any queries you can contact me at any time. If you feel that it would be beneficial to have me attend the meeting to go through the proposals I can also organise this. Development in Dublin is happening at a rapid pace and we need to have the proper structures in place to cater for the numbers as they increase. This proposal is extremely important and we really appreciate you taking time to discuss this.
If you have any queries on the above, please do not hesitate to contact me on the telephone number or email provided above.
Yours in Sport,
