The Dublin senior championship begins this Wednesday with Ballyboden St. Enda’s seeking their 10th title in a row. See website for further details.
Dublin minors start the defence of their All-Ireland title against Meath on May 4th, Bank Holiday Monday at 3pm in Clann Mhuire’s grounds. Your support would be appreciated. Minor club fixtures fixed for Monday 27th April were cancelled in preparation for this Leinster semi-final.
A Children’s Officer Information Meeting will take place in Parnell Park on Thursday May 7th . It is compulsory that all clubs have a children’s officer appointed and present at the meeting on the night. The meeting has been organised by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association. All clubs must contact Bernice Jones Moore (Dublin Children’s Officer) with details of their representative before Wednesday 29th April. Further details on the website.
On foot of a directive from the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Mr. Eamon Ó Cuiv, a minute’s silence will be observed at all GAA fixtures on Sunday May 17th in memory of those who suffered loss during the great Famine. It is anticipated that the Ladies Football Association will follow suit in relation to this request.
The Gaelic4Girls National Blitz will take place in St. Brigid’s GAA Grounds, Kiltoom, Athlone on Saturday 6th June. This programme is run in eight venues throughout the country including Dublin. A specially engraved medal will be presented to all participants by the President of the Association, Mr. Pat Quill.
Congratulations to the Dublin u14’s on a very comprehensive win over Laois in the semi-final of the Leinster Championship. They will now play in the Leinster final on the weekend of the 9th/10th May. See the website for match report.
Well done to the Dublin Senior B team which defeated Kildare by one point on Sunday last in the Aisling McGing Cup competition. Report on the website.

A new trophy will be unveiled at this year’s Féile and presented to the Division 1 winners. The trophy will be called the Emma Jones Memorial Trophy.
