Minors Advance to All Ireland Final

Dublin Minors advanced to the All Ireland Minor Final after a comprehensive win over Mayo today in Athlone. Final result was Dublin 3-23 Mayo 2-7. At halftime it was Dublin 1-19 Mayo 1-1.
Dublin will either play Monaghna or Tyrone, the second semi final will be played on Sunday 20th July at 7pm in Kinawley.
This year the All Ireland minor final will be televised for the very first time by TG4 as part of a double header with a senior qualifier so the young Dublin squad will be playing in front of a live television audience.

Dublin qualified for the All-Ireland Minor A final when they defeated Mayo in the semi-final in Pairc Chiaran on Saturday July 19th. Dublin made good the advantage of the stiff breeze, outscoring Mayo by 14 to points to 1, before Deirdre Doherty goaled for Mayo. Dublin then immediately broke down the field, and Noelle Healy scored the first of her two goals. They added a further 5 points, to leave the half-time score at 1-19 to 1-1. Mayo brought the game to Dublin early in the second half, and added 3 points to their tally, before Natalia Hyland, and Healy goaled again, leaving the final score 3-23 to 2-7. Dublin now face the winners of Tyrone and Monaghan, in the All-Ireland final in Breffni Park, Cavan, on Monday August 4th.
