Match Reports from Crokes in Leinster Féile

  • Jun 06,2008

The girls won their first match against Eadestown by a goal. Their second match was against Naas and they were four points up at half time and they looked comfortable. However, Naas got three quick scores just after half time and that together with two brilliant saves by the Naas goalkeeper in the dying minutes of the match resulted in crokes losing  by a goal despite having plenty of chances which never translated into scores. As it was knock out at that stage, the girls were out of the competition. Despite the result, the gilrs were delighted to take part in what was a great competetion!  Our club, team and managers alike, were well taken care of by Sarsields GAA Club in Newbridge and we are grateful to them for this.

The girls learned a lot from the experience which they hope to put into good use for the National Feile in Cavan.
