The big event is fast approaching 68 girls are anxiously waiting for the bus to Carlow next Monday 2nd June to play for Dublin in their County Colours  in the Leinster under 12 football blitz.

Months of preparation, team building and hard work comes to fruition next week.  We have 68 brilliant footballers on three teams travelling with a small dedicated bunch of mentors to represent their county in the Carlow Blitz.  These girls represent 23 clubs in Dublin and range geographically from Balbriggan to Clondalkin, Skerries to Foxrock.

Most of these girls have been with us since Under 11 and they have shown their passion for the Ladies game, turning up in the best and worst conditions for training and challenge matches.  We have our three final challenge matches this coming week to do the final preparation before we embark on our journey to Carlow.  We would like to thank Clontarf GAA, Ballyboden St Endas GAA and Kilmacud Crokes GAA for these challenges next week.  We have been honoured with the great support from many clubs in the county helping us to train by providing us with venues and challenge matches.

The future of Ladies football in Dublin looks bright with the bunch of girls we have at under 12 there are some very strong footballers with talent, tenacity and sheer hard work playing in our Academy every week.  Lets hope we can do our County proud on Monday 2nd June!
