Kildare 1-12  Dublin 1-12  Venue : St Margaret’s GAA Club, Dublin

Both teams served up a cracking game of football played in a Sunny St.Margarets last Sunday Morning. Dublin’s Sinead Ahearn opened the scoring with a point but Kildare soon took command with points from both midfielders and cracking goal from Stacey Cannon. But Dublin’s girls weren’t giving up  and responded with some brave defending from  Maeve Redmond and Denise Masterson before  a Colleen Barrett point followed by Ahearn with 2 more led the fight back before a cracking Lynsdey Davey Goal. Kildare responded with points from Cannon and impressive Full Forward Simone Gilabert and Dublin’s Mary Nevin Kicked a Majestic point to send the teams in level at half time.

Dublin started the second half brightly with points from Sinead Ahearn and Ciara Murphy but again Kildare responded with points from Simone Gilabert and Emma Kilduff.With Dublin’s Niamh McEvoy dominating midfield the Dubs pressed for home with points from Ahearn and Murphy again the impressive Gilabert responded again with two free’s to level things up. With only minutes left and both teams playing as if their lives depended on it Dublin Sub Niamh Hurley kicked a terrific point to put the Dubs ahead again but Kildare again showed their fighting Spirit and went up the field and won a free which was converted by Emma Kilduff to earn a deserved draw for the Lilywhites.

Dublin now look forward to entertaining Galway next Sunday in Dublin still chasing that elusive first win after two great draws so far
