Monaghan v Dublin

Sunday February 14th, Emyvale 2pm

Dublin has made two changes in personnel for this Sundays NFL clash with Monaghan in Emyvale.

Four times All Star Sinead Goldrick returns to the Dublin starting 15 having missed the opening two rounds of the NFL due to injury. Goldrick made a cameo appearance towards the end of last Sunday’s defeat in Mayo.  Having come through that match unscathed Goldrick is deemed fully fit to play from the outset this weekend.

Amy Connolly a club mate of Goldbrick’s has also been handed her first NFL start of 2016 partnering team Captain Noelle Healy at midfield.  Connolly had featured as a second half substitute in both of Dublin two NFL games to date versus Kerry and Mayo respectively.

Team manager Gregory McGonigle has also made a number of positional switches to his starting 15.

Defender Leah Caffrey takes up a new station on the edge of the square with customary full back Muireann Ni Scanaill listed amongst the subs. Ni Scanaill involvement in last Sunday’s clash with Mayo was curtailed early in the first quarter of the game due to the St Margaret’s star picking up a nasty shoulder injury.

McGonigle’ s other adjustments has the versatile Carla Rowe moving from wing back to half forward, Lyndsey Davey switches from wing forward to centre forward while Nicole Owens shifts to the opposite wing on the half forward line.

Niamh Collins who was a late replacement last Sunday for the injured Lauren Magee maintains her spot in the starting 15 with the sturdy Foxrock Cabinteely star named at number 7.

The action in Emyvale gets underway at 2pm with Dublin LGFA having live score updates via their Twitter account @dublinladiesg
