Ladies NFL game to be played ahead of all Ulster NFL clash;

It has been confirmed that Dublin ladies will play their 6th round NFL fixture versus Armagh on Sunday April 3rd next ahead of the men’s Alliance NFL division 2 all Ulster clash between Armagh and Derry. Both games will be played in the Athletic Grounds, Armagh.

Leinster champions Dublin last met Armagh in the NFL back in 2011 in a game which Dublin won comprehensively by 2-17 to 1-04.

While the two sides last played each other in the 2015 TG4 All Ireland semi-final back on September 5th on that occasion Dublin sealed their place in the final with a nine point win over the Orchard County.

Since that All Ireland semi-final defeat former Armagh County star Ronan Clarke has taken over the management reigns from James Daly. Daly was instrumental in Armagh achieving top flight status this season having managed the side to two consecutive NFL titles. Armagh defeated Donegal in the 2015 division 2 final while overcoming Waterford in the 2014 division 3 decider.

Patrons attending the match should note that admission will be £5 up until half time in the ladies game with prices reverting to the GAA rate after that time.

Dublin open their NFL campaign with a home tie versus Kerry on January 31st. Subject to confirmation Dublin LGFA are hopeful of playing all three of their home NFL games in Parnell Park.

Reigning NFL champions Cork travel to the capital on February 28th while last season’s NFL runners up Galway are scheduled to play the Dubs on April 10th.
