Dublin LGFA Weekly Notes:
Our Annual Awards took place on Saturday last in Croke Park, MC for the evening was Joanne Cantwell (RTÉ Sport) and guests of honour were Finbarr O’Driscoll (President Leinster Council), Patrick Martin (Chairman Dublin Camogie), Louise Kidd (AIG Ireland) and Cormac Farrell (O’Neills International Sportswear).
Congratulations to all our awards winners Tarah O’Sullivan (Foxrock Cabinteely) Minor Players Player of the Year, Rebecca McDonnell (Clanna Gael Fontenoy) Minor Player of the Year, Martha Byrne (Cuala) U21 Players Player of the Year, Olwen Carey (Thomas Davis) U21 Player of the Year, Muireann Ni Scanaill (St Margaret’s) Senior Players Player of the Year, Lyndsey Davey (Skerries Harps) Senior Players Player of the Year while the Special Merit Award went to Denise Masterson (Naomh Mearnog).
Our Annual Convention takes place this coming Saturday in Parnell Park proceedings get underway at 10am sharp. Clubs are requested to have a representative in attendance at what is the most important meeting of the year.
Clubs are reminded that trial information for minor, U16 and U14 County teams will be published on our website www.dublinladiesgaelic.ie and mentors / players should regularly check the site for updates due to the ongoing inclement weather.
