Dublin U17 Development Squad -
Dublin LGFA are currently looking for nominations for this year's Dublin U17 Development Squad.
To be eligible to be considered for the Dublin U17 Development Squad of 2015 players must be registered members of a club and Under 17 years of age on the 1st of January 2015 (born 1998).
Clubs should only send forward players for the Academy who possess the attributes, commitment and dedication required to make a future Inter County panel.
Your club mentors knowledge of your players should be used judiciously to only send forward a player or players who are of exceptional standard, and would benefit from being on this year's Development Squad.
Unless you honestly consider that your player(s) are at or very close to the top level of players in the County taking into consideration the grade and opposition against which they have been playing club football against in 2014 and 2015, they should not be nominated.
Nominating a girl who is not accurately near the standard of the Development Squad will only prove to be very disheartening for the player in question. Dublin LGFA is appealing to your mentors not to view the Dublin U17 Development Squad as a mechanism to “reward†players.
Nominations forms have been issued to ALL clubs Secretaries and indeed club mentors the closing date is THIS Friday July 3rd (Office hours).
