Aisling McGing U21 Championship

Sunday June 7th, 2pm

Dublin v Cork

Venue: Naomh Mearnog GAA club, Portmarnock

Dubs unchanged for Sunday’s crunch tie with Cork –

Dublin boss Gregory McGonigle has kept faith with the same starting fifteen that overcame Meath in the opening round of the U21 championship for this Sundays clash with Cork.

However Dublin have made a positional switch up front with the industrious Niamh Rickard moving out to the half forward line with U21 Captain Carla Rowe moving from centre forward into the corner forward slot.

Corks unexpected defeat at the hands of Meath last weekend takes on new significance as a win for the Dubs will guarantee the reigning champs a bye straight into the U21 final on June 21st.

A loss for the blues will result in Dublin and Meath playing each other again in the semi-final.

Dublin have a good record against Cork at this grade having beaten the Rebels comprehensively last year by 7-13 to 1-08 on route to lifting the Aisling McGing cup.

Proceedings on Sunday get underway at 2pm in Naomh Mearnog GAA Club, Portmarnock
