TG4 Leinster Championship Launch –

Leinster Council held their championship launch last night ahead of the 2015 campaign which gets under at senior level in less than two weeks’ time on June 13/14.

Dublin are reigning senior champions having won the title in impressive fashion defeating Laois comprehensively in last year’s provincial decider.  Dublin as we all know lost out to Cork by just one point in a thrilling All-Ireland final.  .

Dub’s boss, Gregory McGonigle will be aiming to secure the Counties 4th Leinster title in a row as well as hopefully bringing the Dubs one step closer to another final appearance in Croke Park come September.

However between now and then there is a lot of championship football to be played.

This season Leinster Council have opted for a round robin championship involving Westmeath, Laois and Meath the winner of this section of the championship gets a pass straight to the provincial decider while the runner up will play Dublin in the semi -final on July 5th with the third placed County will have to settle for a spot in the qualifiers.

So Dublin will have over a month to wait and see who their semi-final opponents will be as Westmeath play Laois on the weekend of the 13/14 of June, Meath take on Laois on the 20/21 of June with the final round robin tie of Westmeath versus Meath taking place on June 27/28.
