Leinster Minor Championship 2015

Saturday April 11th, 2pm

Offaly v Dublin

Venue: Rhode, GAA Club

Dublin Minors travel to play Offaly this weekend safe in the knowledge that they have already qualified for the Leinster final on Bank Holiday Monday, May 4th.

Who Dublin’s opponents will be in the Leinster final is still to be determined with both Offaly and Kildare both battling it out to clinch their place in the 2015 provincial decider.

To sum the situation up Offaly need to beat Dublin to qualify a feat they can achieve especially on home turf and in front of home support.

Kildare meanwhile require Dublin to win on Saturday in Rhode whilst at the same time Kildare have to overcome the challenge of Wexford to confirm their place in the decider.

Martin McDonnell’s side have been impressive throughout their Leinster campaign to date recording wins over Westmeath, Kildare, Wexford and Laois. Offaly on the other hand enjoyed victories over Kildare and Laois before playing out a draw with Westmeath then losing out to Wexford in their last round robin fixture.

Dublin will travel to Rhode intent on maintaining their 100% record in the championship but at the same time fully aware that Offaly will be determined to upset their visitors winning streak and claim their place in the Minor A final.

A huge amount of development work has been carried out by Offaly LGFA in recent years a place in a Minor A final would be a just reward for all the good work going on in the Faithful County.
