Dublin LGFA Weekly Notes:

 

Leinster Minor Championship:

Congratulations to our Minor team who got their Leinster championship campaign off to a flying start last Saturday with a 4-22 to 1-05 win over Westmeath. Dublin will play Kildare in the next round on March 1st at 2pm, venue TBC

 

February County Board Meeting:

A meeting of the Dublin LGFA will take place on Tuesday the 17th at 7:30pm in Parnell Park. All clubs are requested to have a representative in attendance. Also a reminder that club affiliations must be paid by February 10th payments will be accepted at the County Board meeting.

 

On Thursday 19th February a forum will take place in Parnell Park from 7.30 to 8.30pm to discuss small-sided games. These games cover the age groups from U8 to U12 this year we have over 300 teams entered in these games. Please make sure that TWO delegates from your club who should be mentors for the girls playing small-sided games attend this important meeting.

 

Level 2 Referees Course:

A Level 2 referee’s course will take place in Parnell Park at 7:15pm on Wednesday Feb 25th for those Dublin officials who could not make the courses on the 21st and 24th of January. It is imperative that all adult officials who wish to referee in Dublin this season complete a Level 2 course. Any adult Dublin GAA referee who would like to officiate in ladies football this season can book a place on the level 2 course by contacting the office info@dublinladiesgaelic.ie or ring Patricia 0860285539

 

Fundamentals Coaching Course:

A Fundamentals LGFA coaching course is taking place on Saturday February 21st in Whitehall Colmcille GAA club located on Collins Ave. This course is an introductory coaching programme for people who may be interested in getting involved in coaching Ladies Football or indeed any existing coaches (participants must be 16 years and over). The course will run from 10am to 4pm with the course fee just €20 for more info and to download a booking form please go to

TESCO Home Grown NFL:

Dublin will play Mayo on Sunday February 22nd at 2pm in DCU in the 3rd round of the TESCO Home Grown NFL. Admission is €8, students / OAP’s €5 Under 16’s FREE
