Dublin Team named for Galway clash

Sunday February 8th 2015

Dublin v Galway

Tuam Stadium, 2pm

Same again for Dubs

Dublin has kept faith with the same starting 15 that saw of the challenge of Monaghan in week one of the TESCO Home Grown NFL for this Sunday’s away trip to Galway.

St Margarets, Muireann Ní Scanaill who was a late replacement for the injured Rachel Ruddy last Sunday retains the corner back position as the Ballyboden St Endas star is still troubled by a back injury.

Galway seen by many in the sport as the up and coming team to watch in 2015 enjoyed a 6-15 to 1-04 win over Laois in last weekend’s opening round of the NFL.

Dublin players and management will be under no illusion as to the challenge that lies ahead of them in Tuam Stadium on Sunday with Galway providing a stern test for the travelling Dubs.

The westerners have an abundance of young talented footballers at their disposable having won the last 2 minor All Ireland titles. Olivia Divilly, sister’s Louise and Nicola Ward are three such young footballers who appear to have made the seamless transition from minor to senior football much to the delight of Galway boss Kevin Reidy.

Gus Chapman of Sligo will get proceedings under way at 2pm Dublin LGFA will have regular match updates available via their twitter account @dublinladiesg
