Dublin LGFA Weekly Notes:

 

February County Board Meetings:

Two County Board Meetings will take place in February as we make preparations for the 2015 playing season. Please make a note of the dates February 10th and 17th at 7.30pm in Parnell Park it is vital that ALL clubs who have affiliated to Dublin LGFA in 2015 have a representative in attendance.

 

Leinster President:

Congratulations to Finbarr O’Driscoll from Naomh Olaf who on Sunday last was elected to the post of Leinster Council President. Finbarr succeeds Marie Hickey of Laois who will take over the post of National President from Pat Quill in March. Dublin LGFA would like to take this opportunity to wish both Finbarr and Marie all the very best in their respective roles.

 

Post Primary Schools Interprovincial Tournament:

Congratulations and best wishes to Emma Colgan, Niamh O’Neill, Fiona Tuite, Niamh Donnelly and Naomi Clare who all are representing their respective Dublin Post Primary Schools on the Leinster PPS Interprovincial team this Saturday in Kinnegad Co Westmeath.

 

Gaelic4Girls 2015:

Referees Level 2 Course:

Two Level 2 referees courses for existing Dublin LGFA referees are taking place this week the south side course is on Wednesday Jan 21st at 7.15pm in Lucan Sarsfields GAA club (tbc) while the venue for the north side course will be Le Chéile Community Centre in Donnycarney on Sat Jan 24th from 10.00am to 12.15pm. Eileen Jones from Croke Park is the course tutor for both venues.  

 

All referees should by now have received an email from Mary O’Connor (County Secretary) and from the Dublin LGFA office with information in relation to the course if not can they contact Patricia by email to confirm their attendance info@dublinladiesgaelic.ie

 

Any GAA officials who wish to referee LGFA fixtures in 2015 are welcome to attend the Level 2 course for more info please contact Patricia 0860285539 or email info@dublinladiesgaelic.ie

 

A separate course for those officials who referee our small sided games (U8 to U12) will be held in advance of the commencement of the playing season.

 

TESCO Homegrown NFL 2015:

Dublin will get their 2015 NFL programme underway on Sunday February 1st versus Monaghan this opening round fixture will take place in DCU and has a 2pm throw in time.
