All Ireland Minor Semi-Final 2014

Dublin will play Galway in the All-Ireland minor semi-final on Saturday July 19th at 2pm in St Brendans Park, Birr.

The clash between the Dubs and the Tribeswomen will be a repeat of last year’s minor final. That final went to a replay which Galway won in somwhat dramatic fashion.

In recent years Dublin have done well at minor level.

Dublin last won the Minor All Ireland title in 2012, having also reached the final in 2011 only to lose out to Cork.

2008 was the break through year for the Dubs when the County then managed by David Cullen, captured the title for a historic first time when they defeated a well drilled Tyrone side.

The 2008 record books will also show that current Dublin Senior Captain, Sinead Goldrick was named as the Player of the Match in that final which was played in Kingspan Breffni Park, Cavan.

The winners of the Dublin v Galway clash will meet either Cork or Cavan in the 2014 final which is down for decision on Monday August 4th.
