The Dublin team to play Kildare in Sunday’s opening round of the TG4 Leinster Senior Championship will be released at 8pm this evening on the Dublin LGFA official website www.dublinladiesgaelic.ie
When the two sides meet last year it was Dublin who ran out comfortable winners with 17 points to spare over their Leinster neighbours, Dublin 3-17 Kildare 1-12.
Dublin will be strong favourites for Sunday’s clash, buoyed on after capturing the U21 All Ireland title last weekend.
Kildare manager, John Divilly will be hopeful that the home venue and home support will stimulate the Lilywhites to hit top form.
However Kildare are fully aware of the task that lies ahead of them and will look to players like the experienced Aisling Holton for inspiration.
