Dubs too strong for wee County:

Dublin U21’s got their 2014 championship campaign underway on Sunday last with an emphatic win over Louth. The fixture which was played in extremely wet conditions was a curtain raiser to the senior hurling challenge game between Dublin v Offaly.

 

Both games where hosted by Ballyboden St Endas GAA Club, to promote the official opening of their new skills wall which is located in Sancta Maria.

 

Dublin just proved to be too powerful an opposition for their Leinster neighbours running out comfortable winners in the end by 6-22 to 1-00.

 

Elsewhere in the competition there were first round victories for Meath, Cork and Roscommon.

 

Dublin will travel to Tyrone this coming Sunday for their second round fixture while elsewhere Galway will play Meath, Roscommon host Cavan and Clare will welcome Cork to the Banner County.
