Dublin LGFA Weekly Notes:

May County Board Meeting:

The May County Board meeting of the Dublin LGFA will take place on Tuesday May 20th at 7:30pm sharp in Parnell Park clubs are requested that they have a delegate in attendance. The agenda will be circulated to club Secretaries and delegates in advance of the meeting.

 

Inter County Update:

Well done to the Dublin U14 panel who gave a good account of themselves in the All -Ireland blitz last Saturday in St Loman’s GAA club in Mullingar. Dublin had entered two teams into the competition both of whom competed in division one.

 

Dublin are looking forward  to playing Meath in the Leinster final on May 31st, confirmation of venue and time are due to be announced shortly by Leinster Council.

 

Dublin U21’s had a comprehensive win over Louth in their opening fixture of the 2014 competition. This coming Sunday, May 25th Dublin will travel to Tyrone for their second group fixture, best wishes to all the players and their management team.

 

Registrations:

A reminder registration for existing players (ie: players not registered in 2014) expires on the 31st of May clubs should be starting to prepare their bulk registration for the new registration period. Any player not registered after the 31st of May is not entitled to play and is NOT covered under the injury fund. Mouth Guards:

A reminder regarding the new rule - it is mandatory for all ladies gaelic football players in age grades up to and including minor to wear a mouth guard in all practice sessions and games. It is the responsibility of each individual player to use a mouth guard, players will be ordered off in a game for not wearing a mouth guard and will remain off the pitch until the situation is ratified, players will not be covered under the Injury Fund if they don’t comply with the mouth guard rule.
