Dublin LGFA Weekly Notes:

May County Board Meeting:

The May County Board meeting of the Dublin LGFA will take place on Tuesday May 20th at 7:30pm sharp in Parnell Park all items for inclusion on the agenda, correspondence, transfer applications etc. must be with County Secretary Mary O'Connor by close of business on Tuesday May 13th (5pm).

 

Inter County Update:

Hard luck to the Dublin senior team who lost out on winning a historic NFL title to Cork on Saturday by just two points, our congratulations to Cork and their management team on the win.

 

Huge thank you to clubs, their players and club members who attend the NFL final in Parnell Park your support was greatly appreciated by all the players and team management.

 

Congratulations to Dublin manager, Gregory McGonigle on being named as Tesco Homegrown / Irish Daily Star Manager of the Month for April.

 

Congratulations to the Dublin U16 team on being crowned Champions of Leinster following their 2-15 to 3-04 over Meath in Athy on Sunday and well done to Hannah O’Neill on being named as the Player of the Match in the Leinster Final.

 

Best wishes to the Dublin U14 team who play in the All -Ireland blitz this coming Saturday in St Loman’s GAA club in Mullingar.

 

Dublin U21’s begin their Aisling McGing championship campaign this Sunday May 18th they play Louth in their opening fixture at Ballyboden St Endas pitch located in Sancta Maria at 4.30pm

 

Registrations:

A training evening on the new on line registration system will take place on Monday 19th May in the Canal Suite 2, Level 5, Croke Park at 8pm.  ALL Dublin clubs are advised to have a representative in attendance, important information on the evening has been circulated to all clubs.

 

Mouth Guards:

A reminder regarding the new rule - it is mandatory for all ladies gaelic football players in age grades up to and including minor to wear a mouth guard in all practice sessions and games. It is the responsibility of each individual player to use a mouth guard, players will be ordered off in a game for not wearing a mouth guard and will remain off the pitch until the situation is ratified, players will not be covered under the Injury Fund if they don’t comply with the mouth guard rule.
