Dublin U16's seeking Provincial Glory

Dublin v Meath
On Sunday Dublin will contest their second provincial final of the season when the Dublin U16’s travel to Athy Co Kildare to take on Meath in this year’s Under 16 Provincial decider.
Dublin has been impressive form throughout their Leinster campaign having recorded victories over Kildare, Wicklow, Laois, Meath and Westmeath on route to the final.
Sunday’s opposition, Meath have also been in fine form at Under 16 level this season replicating Dublin results by also enjoying comfortable wins over Laois, Westmeath, Wexford and Kildare. The Royals only defeat to date was to Dublin when the sides meet back on the 6th of April last, Dublin edging out their near neighbours by 1-13 to 0-08.
Sunday’s final will be a different affair as both sides are not only aiming to win a Provincial Crown but are also hoping to keep their All Ireland dreams alive as Sunday’s runner up will face an exit from the championship race of 2014.
Dublin will be hoping for quality performances from their experienced quartet of Erica Byrne, Hannah O’Neill, Mia Jennings and Ellen Curran. All four players where part of the Dublin squad who played Cork in the 2013 All Ireland final in Birr and their experience at this level could be a deciding factor on Sunday.
