Dublin v Westmeath, Sat 19th April

Leinster Championship 2014:

The venue for this Saturday’s double bill between Dublin and Westmeath was confirmed late last night as Shandonagh GAA club Co. Westmeath.

 

Up first will be the clash of the U14’s at 1.30pm followed by the U16 game at 3pm.

 

Fearghal Brennan’s, Dublin U14’s come into Saturdays clash against Westmeath with an unbeaten record the Dubs however do have a game in hand owing to the rescheduling of the abandoned game versus Laois (injury) which is now due to take place on Saturday 3rd of May.

 

Westmeath had a good win over Wexford in their opening fixture of the championship but since then have struggled to get back on form clocking up defeats against Meath, Kildare and Laois.

 

Dublin’s under 16 squad have also enjoyed a successful Leinster campaign to date with wins over Kildare, Wicklow, Laois and Meath. Westmeath on the other hand have struggled in this year’s championship having endured defeats to Wicklow, Meath, Kildare and Laois.

 

Going on form Ken Nyhan chargers should remain in poll position following Saturday’s encounter a win will confirm their place in the Provincial decider which is scheduled to take place on Sunday May 11th.
