Leinster Minor Football Championship

Round 2

Westmeath v Dublin

Saturday 22nd February 2014

Venue: St Lomans GAA Club, Mullingar – 1:30pm

Dublin minor manager, Conor Barry has announced the Dublin starting fifteen to face Westmeath in tomorrow’s Leinster minor championship clash in Mullingar.

There are two changes in personnel from the starting fifteen that overcame  Offaly last weekend - Niamh O’Neill from St Brigids is named at number five  replacing Doireann Mullany in the half back line while Naomi Clare from St Maurs has been named at left corner forward as a direct replacement for Amy Conroy.

Dual players, Mullany and Conroy are on duty with Dublin Camogie this weekend.

Saturday’s championship affair should be an entertaining game of football with both sides enjoying comfortable wins in last weekend’s opening round, Westmeath clocking up an impressive 4-10 to 1-09 win over Kildare.

Dublin had a comfortable win when the two side’s last meet in championship back in 2011 but great strides has been made in Westmeath Ladies football with Saturday’s game likely to be a more competitive encounter.
