Dublin Under 14 Panel – 2014
Fearghall Brennan and his Dublin management team have announced their Dublin Under 14 panel for the 2014 championship campaign.
The Dublin management team had a momentous job to arrive at a final number of 30 players as over 218 girls had been nominated to attend trials by clubs throughout the County.
The standard of football displayed by girls who attended trials was exceptional and was an indication of the hard work that is been put into ladies football at grass roots level by club mentors. Their dedication to their players will be of a huge benefit to the County as they go in search of provincial and national honours.
The trials process began back on December 8th and finally concluded yesterday February 9th – the Dublin County Board and Dublin Under 14 management team would like to thank most sincerely all the players, their clubs and family for their time and commitment to the trial process over the last two and half months.
Thanks also to both Ballyboden St Endas and Clanna Gael Fontenoy GAA clubs for making their facilities available to the management team in order for the trials to take place.
Eighteen clubs have players represented on the Dublin panel with Foxrock Cabinteely leading the way with five players followed by Kilmacud Crokes and Ballyboden St Endas with three while Clanna Gael Fontenoy, Clontarf, Fingallians and St Monica’s have two representatives each. Castleknock, Craobh Chiarain, Cuala, Erins Isle, Na Fianna, Naomh Mearnog, Naomh Olaf, St Peregrines, O’Dwyers, Parnells and Scoil Ui Chonaill each have a player represented on the panel.
The Dublin U14 team will begin their Leinster championship campaign on Saturday the 1st of March with an away fixture against Westmeath.
All the players listed below along with their parents are requested to attend a meeting Clanna Gael Fontenoy GAA Club this Wednesday 12th February at 7.30pm. A training session may take place Weather permitting so players should bring their football gear and a reminder that gum shields are compulsory.
