Dublin LGFA Weekly Notes: 

TESCO Home Grown NFL:

Congratulations to the Dublin Senior team on their 3-09 to 0-07 victory over Kerry in the league on Sunday great to start the 2014 playing season with a win. The match report from the game is available to read on www.dublinladiesgaelic.ie while images from the match can also be viewed on GAApics.com – big thank you to Parnells for accommodating the fixture on their all-weather pitch.

This Sunday Dublin will travel west of the Shannon to take on the challenge of Mayo, venue and time for the game is still to be confirmed by Croke Park, details when confirmed will be posted on our website and social media sites.

 

Leinster Minor Championship:

Dublin begins the defence of their Leinster Minor title this coming Saturday February 15th when they welcome Offaly to the Capital. This first round tie will take place in Parnells GAA club with thrown in time down for 2pm. Best of luck to the minor panel and their management team.

 

Go Games Referees Course:

A Grab Your Whistle Go Games referee’s course with the aim of recruiting NEW referees for the 2014 Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football Go Games playing season will be held on Saturday the 15th of February next in Fingallians GAA Club Swords from 10.30am to 1.30pm.

Booking forms are available by request by emailing Patricia at info@dublinladiesgaelic.ie

Participants must be 15 years or over, note interested parties should return their booking form and course fee of €10 to the Dublin LGFA Office, Le Cheile, Donnycarney, Dublin 5 as soon as possible. Places on the course WILL only be confirmed upon receipt of the booking form and course fee of €10

 

Additional courses will be organised in the coming weeks in St Peregrines and Naomh Olaf we are just awaiting confirmation on dates from Croke Park.

 

February County Board Meeting:

A meeting of the County Board will take place on Tuesday the 11th of February at 7.30pm in Parnell Park. The agenda has been circulated in advance to all club delegates and secretaries.

 

9000th Registered Member:

Congratulations to Amelia Claffey from Castleknock Hurling and Football club who was our team mascot on Sunday at the Dublin v Kerry game. Amelia was given the honour of leading the Dubs out as a reward for being the official 9000th registered member of the Dublin LGFA.
