The eagerly anticipated division one clash between Dublin and Monaghan has fallen victim to the recent inclement weather the pitch in Aughnamullen being declared unplayable late yesterday evening. The Monaghan County Boards back up pitch in Inniskeen had also falling foul of the wet and windy weather conditions.

Dublin will now turn their attention to the visit next Sunday of reigning Munster champions, Kerry with the home venue for this game yet to be confirmed.

Dublin versus Monaghan wasn’t the only game to fall by the way side this weekend as the division 2 fixture between Galway and Kildare has also been postponed along with the Division 3 meeting of Armagh and Longford has also been called off due to weather.
