Minor Final - Dublin v Galway Round 2.

All Ireland Minor replay:

Dublin v Galway

Cusack Park, Mullingar

All roads lead to Mullingar this evening as the minors of Dublin and Galway go into battle again for the right to be crowned All Ireland champions.

In the original fixture reigning champions, Dublin had come from being eleven points down to almost snatch victory at the death when second half substitute Margaret Mohan and wing-forward Carla Rowe netted in stoppage time to put the champions a point ahead but up stepped Ciana Ní Churraoins with an invaluable Galway equalising score which brought the game to a replay.

Dublin has made five changes to their starting 15 for the Mullingar clash, with Doireann Mullany, Aoife O'Brien, Margaret Mohan, Kate Dwyer and Maria McGrath being introduced for the replay.  O'Brien, Mohan, Dwyer and McGrath have all previously won Minor medals having been part of Fintan O'Currys All Ireland winning squad in 2012. Their experience could be a deciding factor in determining where the cup will be residing by 8.30pm this evening.

Galway's management team received a timely boost when right half back, Emile Gavin who had been issued with a straight red card in the drawn clash had her card rescinded on foot of video evidence at a meeting of the Central Council disciplinary Committee meeting on Monday night last. Although not named on the Galway team list for the replay Gavin will be available to play in the match tonight should Galway require her services.
