Dublin LGFA Weekly Notes:

Inter County Update:

Congratulations to the Dublin U16's who have qualified for the All-Ireland final following an empathic 6-13 to 0-02 win over Cavan. Dublin will now face Cork in the decider which is due to take place on August 24th. Meanwhile the Dublin senior team have drawn Cork in the TG4 quarter final which is also down to be played on August 24th. Venue and times to be confirmed shortly by Croke Park hopefully both games can be fixed for the same venue.

The Dublin Minor team play Galway this Wednesday night in the replay of the All-Ireland final, throw in time in Mullingar is 7pm. Best of luck to all the girls and their management team. Updates from the replay will be available via our Twitter account @dublinladiesg

 

Referees course:

Well done to everyone who completed the Grab Your Whistle course last Saturday in Le Chéile, the next course on the 7th of September is fully booked. The next set of referee's courses for new and existing referees will be organised in January 2014.

 

Club of the Month:

TESCO Home Grown is looking for the club of the Month for July - closing date for nomination is Monday August 19th. How to Enter, download the entry form HERE making sure to fill in all sections and email on to: tescoawards@dublinladiesgaelic.ie

Each month the winning Dublin Ladies Football club will be featured in the Evening Herald.

This section will give details of the club, its activities, number of teams etc. each featured club will receive a set of Tesco sponsored jerseys

 

County Board Meeting:

The next county board meeting is due to take place in Parnell Park on the 20th August, at 7.30 pm. Please make sure that your club has a delegate in attendance. All correspondence for the meeting should be emailed to info@dublinladiesgaelic.ie  by the 12th. Each club is entitled to send three registered delegates if three attend at least one must be a current player.
